Just for a moment I would like to freeze time. I want to just sit with my kids and DH and do nothing, but watch movies, eat popcorn and not have a schedule. I cherish the time I have with them because I know it will all be changing soon. At least I can relish in the fact that we are all together and very happy! I would love to say that I'm planning an elaborate vacation to some exotic location, but I'm not. That will come in time. For now we have our camping trips, vacation bible school and visits to the grandparents planned. That's about as 'exotic' as we get around here!

What is...
I don't necessarily have an appropriate title for my blog tonight. Too much on my mind! Hopefully, getting ready for a long and fun weekend. Although, SA needs the rain so badly, I really hope it doesn't until Saturday night. With the carnival and soccer this weekend, it just wouldn't be fair to rain. Not fair to the kids or the parents for all of the hard work that has been put into organzing this huge feat. I'm tired and longing for a FABULOUS vacation! A badly needed one at that. I'm not sure if it is a vacation with or without kids...Maybe just an all girl trip...maybe just the DH...maybe by myself! I can only take a mental vacation in my mind right now and the sad part is I can look at my screensaver on my phone and dream of being in Greece. One day I'll get there. But for now I'll just close my eyes and dream of white sandy beaches and a glass of Riesling.

Hi Tyler!
I thought I missed my chance to meet Tyler
Florence this past week at my local grocery store.
Gladly, I was wrong!! I not only got to meet him
this weekend, but I also purchased his cookbook
and he autographed it! So, this photo is of Tyler,
one of my girls and me! He has made his own
organic baby food line. More power to you Tyler. I'm outta that stage thank goodness.

A trip to the bookstore
I love, love, love, Barnes and Noble. When I open the two giant front doors, I am immediately greeted with the soothing aroma of hot coffee. The smell of fresh, roasted cocao beans is amazing. I am automatically drawn to the pastry counter and try to keep my drool from ending up on the display case! There is nothing like a iced-decaf, skinny, vanilla latte with a blueberry scone. Or, if I feel I have worked out rather hard during the week, then I feel that I am entitled to a piece of cheesecake. I then walk around in amazement that so many people have written a book and I have yet to even finish the first chapter of mine. I could stay in that store for hours. Happy Reading everyone!

Have a little GNO!
I love my GNO's, otherwise known as Girls Night Out! I totally believe that every mom needs to get out and have some time with her girlfriends. Like right now I am ready to run out the door. My girls have had just about enough "sister time" as they can stand. One second they are in a disagreement and the next they are acting like best friends. GNO here I come!

Mini Vacation
My kids and I took a great little mini vacation. We went to our state capital and visited the grounds and had a great time. We also went to a museum and watched an IMAX movie all for $31.00! If you are looking to save a little money on outings, then look no further than where you are now. Go out into your town and act like a tourist. Stay in a hotel downtown and venture out and get to really know your city.

For today...
For today step outside and enjoy this beautiful weather. When the kids get home from school go outside and watch them ride their bikes. Just looking at the joy on their little faces is a wonderful pick me up for any mother. Grab a chair, a big glass of tea and sit back and watch your little ones as they are decompressing from a hard day at school!
Bubbles are great for instant entertainment. They are cheap and easy to make and kids always have so much fun trying to catch them.

Welcome
Welcome to Only For Moms, a website for moms who just need their own space. I want this blog to be for the mom who needs to get away and rediscover herself as an individual. I will be suggesting new places to take a "Momcation". There are so many wonderful and quaint areas to go and explore in the South. This little blog is my way of taking a mental vacation because I can't just drop everything and jet off to Hawaii! My first suggestion is to give yourself the day off and go shopping. Even if you don't buy one thing, you can still get out of your house and peruse the mall or bookstore. In fact, I am taking the day off from laundry and other "mommy" duties and I am going to go shopping! I don't need one thing, but the thought of getting out makes me feel good. So, I suggest you do the same! Make it a great day.
